Lawrence Patterson

Lawrence Patterson, 89, of Lula passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Born on May 20, 1928 in Canton, GA he was the son of the late Wheeler and Lula Wright Patterson. He was a retired truck driver having driven for Pilot. Mr. Patterson was a member of South Hall Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson is preceded in death by 8 siblings.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elna Jean Tanner Patterson; daughter and son in law, Joann Patterson Guyton and Larry of Douglasville; daughter, Peggy Patterson Jordan of Jasper; son and daughter in law, Lawrence David Patterson and Kristy of Dahlonega; son, Gary Shane Patterson of Forsyth County; daughter, Connie Jean McClure of Maysville; daughter and son in law, Deborah Patterson Walls and Devon of Lula; son and daughter in law, Joseph Wheeler Patterson and Dana of Cleveland; son and daughter in law , Jeffery Scott Patterson and Janet of Lula; daughter and son in law, Kimberly Guyton Benefield and Joel of Gainesville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
