Ruby Martin Lord

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Ruby Martin Lord, age 83 of Maysville, Georgia who entered into rest Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  Mrs. Lord was born in Jefferson, Georgia a daughter of the late John and Selic Whitlock Martin, was retired from the Textile Industry after forty-five years and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lord is preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Davis, and a brother, Elmer Martin.

Survivors include her husband Harold Lord of Maysville, daughter, Laurie Bond of Maysville and a sister Johnie Carithers of Florida.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Swayne Cochran and Reverend Charles Elrod officiating with burial to follow in the Dry Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jerry Sailors, Don Lord, Johnny Martin, Scott Martin, Eddie Davis and Dustin Ridling.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018.
