Charles James Nida

Charles James Nida 80, of Gainesville, GA passed away at his home on April 29, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Brock officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

“Chuck” was born in Hamlin, West Virginia and moved to Gainesville, GA in the 80’s, where he was an electrician by trade and the owner of Nida Electric.  He was proud to be a member of New Hope Methodist Church and a long time Shriner.

Mr. Nida is survived by his wife of 28 years, Martha K. Nida; his four children, Charles E. Nida of Cartersville, GA, Janice Nida Perry of Waxhaw, NC, Laura Nida Allison of Buford, GA and John Nida of Rome, GA. His three stepchildren, Rick (Jennifer) Miller of Athens, GA, Debbie Mitchell of Oakwood, GA, and Raydel (Brad) Burford of Senatobia, MS., numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one brother, Jay Nida of TX and his beloved dogs, Lula and Max.

Mr. Nida is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman (Tuck) and Kathryn Nida and one sister, Anna Fay Lucas of West Virginia.
