Cecil Hostetter Blanton, Sr.

Cecil Hostetter Blanton, Sr., age 86 of Barnesville, GA passed away Friday, April 27, 2018.

Born on Oct. 1, 1931 in Macon, GA, he was the son of the late Forrest Anderson and Eura Lee Bell Blanton. He served our country as a Marine in the Korean War Era. He retired as a security officer, and was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Blanton, Sr. was preceded in death by brothers, Robert H. Blanton, Harold M. Blanton; and a grandson, Bruce Blanton.

Survivors include sons, Ruben Eric Blanton, Monroe, Scott Timothy Blanton, Monroe, Dennis Keith Blanton, Sandy Cross, Cecil Hostetter Blanton, Jr., Winder; daughter, Angela Fay Hall, Winterville; brother, Steven Blanton, Social Circle; sister, Joan Carson, Douglasville; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, April 30, 2018 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 2 pm in Riverview Memorial Park, Smyrna, GA. The family will receive friends 10 am - 11 am prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
