Mildred Youngblood Carr, age 71, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Flora Youngblood; sisters, Ruth Addington, Ruby Johnston, and Mamie Lou Waycaster; brothers, Herman Youngblood, and Grady Youngblood.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Rev. Edward Carr, Sugar Hill, GA; daughter, Gail Carr, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Valerie Carr, Sugar Hill, GA; granddaughters, Sarah Carr, Rebekah Carr, and Madison Carr; sisters, Johnnie Mae Youngblood Hayes and Joe Neal, Cumming, GA, Reba Youngblood Hunt, Alto, GA, Grace Youngblood Cole, Gainesville, GA, and Rose Lee Youngblood Henderson, Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law, Eloise Youngblood, Dawsonville, GA; brothers, Hoyt and Helen Youngblood, Monroe, GA, and Eugene Youngblood, Cleveland, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Carr was born July 18, 1946 in Buford, GA. She was a 1964 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA. She worked for the Gwinnett County Public School System for twelve years and also worked for Walmart in Human Resources with fifteen years of service. Mrs. Carr was a member of West Buford Baptist Church in Buford, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Redd, Rev. Danny Sudderth officiating and family prayer by Rev. Jerry McCormick. A graveside service will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford with Rev. Arthur Southerland officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
