Mrs. Thelma Garner Pace, age 96, of Toccoa passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A daughter of the late Charles LaFayette Garner and Sara Fuller Garner, she was born January 29, 1922 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Coats and Clark with 40 years of service. She was a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church. She reared three grandchildren in her home, Angie King, Thelma Jane Pace and Perry Pace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Pace in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Charles Pace of Toccoa; six grandchildren, Tracy Carver, Rita Outz, Chris Pace, Perry Pace, Thelma Jane Pace and Angie King; a number of great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, 2 p.m. at Tom’s Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Wayne Marcus officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Shane Carver, Tim Outz, Chris Pace, Perry Pace, Adam Outz, Cole Pace, Peter King and Clayton King.
