Louise Beard Greeson

Louise Beard Greeson, age 101, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brown Greeson; infant son, Larry; sisters, Frankie J. Beard, and Ruby Beard Oliver; brothers, Henry Beard, and J.M. Beard; sisters-in-law, Delorea Beard, and Louise Beard; brother-in-law, Early Oliver; nephews, Gerald Oliver, and Kenneth Beard. She is survived by her brother, Hubert Beard, Buford, GA; sister-in-law, Edna Beard, Flowery Branch, GA; nieces, Vickie and Larry Grindle, Oakwood, GA, Debbie and Ed Tyson, Donna Beard Outler, Dianne Beard Smith, Crissie and Ben Gravitt, and Susan Willis; nephews, Wayne and Peggy Oliver, and Hugh Beard; and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Mrs. Greeson was born May 19, 1916 in Buford, GA. She was a homemaker and also worked for several schools in the cafeteria. She was a longtime member of New Bethany Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Mrs. Greeson supported our troops during WWII by working as a Riveter at Lockheed Dobbins Air Force Base while her brothers were serving in the military. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and she was an avid gardener. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Cansler officiating. Interment will follow at New Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
