Sharon Batson Lynn

Mrs. Sharon Batson Lynn, age 50 of Gainesville, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Gainesville, Georgia after an extended illness.

Mrs. Lynn was born February 23, 1968 in Demorest, Georgia, daughter of James Batson and Marinell Amos Batson. She was a graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mt. Airy, Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia. She worked for First National Bank of Gainesville, Lakewood Baptist Church and was an overseas missionary to Thailand. In 1992 she married David Lynn and they became active members of Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. She loved God deeply and wanted to share that love with everyone. Anyone who met or knew Sharon was touched by her humility and caring.

Survivors include her husband, David Lynn, daughter, Samantha Lynn, and son Davis Lynn; three sisters, Diane (Mrs. Dudley) Sanders of Baldwin, Georgia, Beverly Murray of Demorest, Georgia and Marcia Batson of Baldwin, Georgia; parents, James and Marinell Batson of Demorest, Georgia; niece and nephews.

Visitation will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery at 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville Georgia from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 25. Funeral services for Mrs. Lynn will be held on Thursday, April 26 at 11:00 AM in the Lakewood Baptist Church chapel with Dr. Tom Smiley officiating. Graveside interment services will be held immediately after the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Encounter Student Exchange Ministries, 5582 Checkered Spot Drive, Gainesville GA 30506 in memory of Mrs. Lynn.

The family of Mrs. Lynn wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. They loved her well.
