Douglas Wayne Loggins

Mr. Douglas Wayne Loggins, age 67 of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018.

Doug was born in Hall County on December 2, 1950 to the late Henry Kelsey and Nellie Mae Martin Loggins.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Larry Loggins and Rev. Dwight Loggins; and nephew Brian Loggins.  Doug was retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation.  His sense of humor will be loved and cherished by his friends and family.  Doug was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He served as the Sunday School Superintendent and choir director for many years.

Survivors include his wife, of 45 years, Sheryl Loggins, Dahlonega; daughters and sons in law Lisa and E.J. Gedding, Dahlonega; Julie and Rev. Jason Fuller, Dahlonega; grandchildren Seth Fuller, Connor Gedding, Cassidy Fuller, Cady Gedding, Joseph Fuller, Lacey Fulle; brother and sister in law Michael and Alice Loggins, Cleveland; sister in law Wanda Loggins, Clayton; special aunt and uncle Maxie and Robert Garrett, Dahlonega; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church.  The Rev. Jason Fuller, the Rev. Andy Caldwell, Mr. Mike Ferguson, and the Rev. Jamie Chastain will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
