Robert James Stady

Robert James Stady, of 2768 Suttonwood Way, Buford, GA, entered the loving arms of his Savior on Thursday, April 19, 2018.  He was born September 22, 1922 in Olean, New York, the son of Edward and Zella Hubbard Stady.

Robert was a 1940 graduate of Olean High School, Olean, New York.  During World War II he served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on December 10, 1945.   He was employed in Olean at Clark Brothers and in later years Dresser Rand Industries and retired from there in 1982. 

On March 16, 1945 Robert married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Margaret Cornish Stady, at the First Baptist Church, Olean, New York.  He was a devoted husband of seventy-two and a half years to his wife Margaret, as well as a loving father to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved the Lord with all his heart and spent his life faithfully serving Him and others.
Robert was preceded in death by both his parents (Edward and Zella), three brothers (Edward, Donald and Richard), and his loving wife, Margaret. He is survived by three daughters, Ann (Joseph) McMahon of Monroe, CT, Cynthia (William) Ring of Cuba, NY, Janet Jameson of Buford, GA, and son, Rev. James (Kim) Stady of Dacula, GA; ten grandchildren, David (Tara) McMahon, Melissa McMahon, Mark (Jen) Ruggles, Matthew Ruggles, Kevin Ruggles, Anne (Colin) Connors, Jamie Johnson, Benjamin Sutphin, Jordan (Jeff) Connell and Jameson Kameron Stady; fourteen great grandchildren, Giuliana McMahon, Brittany Ruggles, Kyle Ruggles, Kameron Ruggles, Elliott Wilber, Brayden Ruggles, Liam Ruggles, Corbin Connors, Ansley Connors, Logan Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Emily Johnson, Leighton Connell and Rylen Connell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Sunday, April, 22nd, at the Ivy Creek Baptist Church, 2500 Ivy Creek Road, Buford, GA at 4:00 p.m.  A family receiving line will follow in the Church foyer.  In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to the Ivy Creek Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
