Elizabeth McEntire Cook, age 81 of Alto, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.
Born on March 31, 1937 in Demorest, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Vivian Edwards McEntire. She enjoyed camping, traveling and cooking. Mrs. Cook was of the Holiness faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cook; brothers, Irvin McEntire, Phillip McEntire, Randolph McEntire and Lamar McEntire.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Carson Crocker of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Benny & Lisa Cook of Cornelia, Mitchell & Annette Cook and Rev. Anthony & Ruby Cook all of Lula; grandchildren, Michelle Canup of Alto, Greg Cook of Macon, MaKesha Murphy of Southport, North Carolina, Pamela Carnes of Cornelia, MaKayla Holcombe of Alto, and Brittany Holley of Lula; step-granddaughter, Edena Bryson; 11 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Mote Weaver of Dahlonega and Laverne Cook of Mt. Airy; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Anthony Cook and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
