Melba Castleberry, age 84 of Alpharetta, went home to Heaven on April 10, 2018. Melba was born in Forsyth County, was a 1951 graduate of Cumming High School, member of Longstreet Baptist Church and a retiree from Lockheed after 44 years of service. She was a devoted Christian, a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She also loved her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Marcus Castleberry, her children, Marcia and Matt Camp of Cleveland, Mark and Tammy Castleberry, Mike Castleberry and Donald Mitchell, all of Alpharetta, 5 grandchildren, Carissa and Matt Dover of Cleveland, Matthew and Sidney Camp of Gainesville, Justin Castleberry, Jacob Castleberry, and Cynda Tate, all of Alpharetta, 2 great-grandchildren, Hope Dover and Titan Camp, sister, Dot Rendleman of Salisbury, NC, brother Dr. Joe (Phyllis) Vernon of Cleveland, sister-in-law, Lorene Vernon of Loganville, sister-in-law, Lillian (Allie) Archer of Franklin, N.C., brother-in-law, Everett (Betty) Castleberry of Alpharetta, great aunt, Thelma Lamb of Cumming, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00pm at Longstreet Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Carnes and Dr. Joe Vernon officiating the service, Rev. Pete Martin, graveside, and Rev. Gerral Richards, family prayer. Granddaughter, Carissa Dover will give a special tribute. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm and Thursday 10am to 1:30pm at Ingram Funeral Home.
