Nellie Lou Bishop

Nellie Lou Bishop, 90, of Cleveland, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Friendship Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Earl Pirkle officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Born on February 23, 1928 in Knoxville, TN she was the daughter of the late Thurman McClain and Bessie Stallworth McClain. She was retired from Dress for Less where she was a salesperson. Mrs. Bishop attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Nichols Bishop; daughter, Patricia Rose; grandson, Jeremiah Rose; brothers, Ralph McClain, Earl McClain and Boots McClain.

Mrs. Bishop is survived by her daughter, Connie Bryson (Brad) of Gainesville; son, Russell Bishop of VA; granddaughter, Michelle Remaley of Gainesville; grandson, Charles D. Bryson, granddaughter, Stephanie Bryson, great grandchildren, Kyle Byrnes, Abigail Bryson and Alexis Bryson, sister, Doris Ogle of Knoxville, TN and a number of other family members and friends.
