Mrs. Edna Lawson White Gruber, 89 of Gainesville passed away Sunday April 1, 2018.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Gruber was the daughter of the late Irvin and Bessie Kemp Lawson. She was the owner/operator of the Fountain of Beauty beauty shop in Gainesville for a number of years. Mrs. Gruber was a graduate of Riverbend High School and a member of Air Line Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Josephine White, Lebanon, TN; grandchildren, Steve Pittman, Brookton; Betsy and Randy Chandler, Gainesville; great grandchildren, Ben and BreeAnna Chandler, Gillsville; Josh Chandler, Gainesville. one step granddaughter, four step great grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Gruber is preceded in death by her parents, and husbands, Bennie White and Frank Gruber and daughter, Janet Elizabeth White.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 4, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Clack Stubbs and Rev. Bradley Elliott will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Hospice, 2340 Prince Ave., Suite B, Athens, Ga. 30606 or one's favorite hospice group in memory of Mrs. Gruber.
