Pastor Brian Robin Martin, age 57, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Pastor Robin Martin was born on September 7, 1960 to Milton Major Martin, Sr. and Damaris Evans Martin. He was a graduate of Gainesville High School class of 1978. Robin attended Gainesville Jr. College and Northwood Institute. Robin married his high school sweetheart Wendy Anderson and followed his passion of ministry graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center class of 1990. In his 35 years of ministry, he travelled as an evangelist to Kenya, India, and other countries. Pastor Robin preached as enthusiastically to 10 people as well as tens of thousands while overseas. He pastored in various capacities at Gainesville First Assembly of God, Living Word Worship Center, Faith is the Victory, Free Chapel Worship Center, The Rock Christian Fellowship of Gainesville, The Rock Christian Fellowship of Habersham, and Zoe Life Church. Pastor Robin was an author of several books written to encourage and heal the broken hearted and broken bodied. His love for God was demonstrated daily by his compassion and his generosity of time, spirit, and resources. When asked of his hobbies and interests, Pastor Robin would cheerfully reply, “my children”, although he did enjoy riding a Harley occasionally. Pastor Robin never met a stranger and his motto in life was, “Jesus makes you want to love everybody.” Pastor Robin Martin was building the congregation of Zoe Life Church at the local YMCA where he loved to exercise and fellowship.
He is survived by his parents Milton Martin, Sr. and Damaris Evans Martin, his wife Wendy Anderson Martin, his children Amanda Mae Martin, Bryan Robin Martin, Jr., and Zoe Elyse Martin, his siblings Milton Martin, Jr. (Lynn), Mike Martin (Lisa), Alan Martin (Pia), Ricky Martin (Cindy), and Malinda Foote (Jim). Other family includes his mother-in-law Nancy Dixon Anderson, sister-in-law Laurie Shufeldt (Craig), brother-in-law Dave Anderson (Heather), and an abundance of dearly loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation to be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Memorial Park Main from 3-5:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Free Chapel Worship Center with interment to follow in Memorial Park Main. The Rev. Jentezen Franklin, Rev. Milton Martin, Jr., and Rev. Eddie Smith will officiate.
