Cathy M. Tench, Psy.D

Cathy M. Tench, Psy.D, age 62, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.

Dr. Tench was born on June 9, 1955, in Toccoa, Georgia. She was the daughter of Jessie Tench of Clarkesville and the late Charlie A. Tench. Dr. Tench received her Doctorate from Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She has been a private practice psychologist for over 20 years. Dr. Tench followed the spiritual path of ECKANKAR.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband, Richard Armond III, DO, of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Leighanne and David Reynolds of Nashville, TN; stepdaughter and husband, Amy Armond Bowen and Ryan of River Forest, IL; stepdaughter, Emily Jean Armond of Raleigh, NC; stepson and wife, Richard Carter Armond and Kylene of Gwinnett County; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Danny Tench and Denise of Clarkesville; nephew and wife, Jeremy Daniel Tench and Pamela; niece, Karassa King; great nieces, Maylee and Katelynn Tench and Karley Herrin; and grandchildren: Tucker and Hallie Bowen, and Madeline, Finley, and Reid Armond.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the funeral home.
