Donald Leon Durieux, 71, of Flowery Branch entered heaven on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at his residence following a short, brave battle with cancer.
Born on November 26, 1946, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, he was the son of the late Mary Gann Yoho and Ernest Leon Durieux. Mr. Durieux, an army veteran, spent his career working in the dry wall industry and more recently as a project manager at a low voltage company. He had a love for his children and grandchildren, cars, and the American Legion Post 127 of Buford.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Durieux is preceded in death by his brother, Ernest William Durieux of Ohio.
Mr. Durieux is survived by his brothers, Rex Durieux, Roy Durieux and Gary Durieux all of Ohio; sisters, Betty Wolfe and Barbara Yoho both of Florida; daughter, Dawn Carr and her fiancé, George Lamp of Ohio; sons & daughters-in-law, Jason & Shannon Durieux of Atlanta; and Damien & Marianne Durieux of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, P.J. Carr and Brittany Carr of Ohio, and Alex Durieux, Andrew Durieux and Mary Durieux of Atlanta; granddaughter, Georgia Durieux of Flowery Branch; great-grandchildren, Caleb Carr, Caylee Carr, Cordelia Carr, Charlie Carr, and Luella Johnson of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Durieux requested no services be held.
