Bertha Grace Watkins Gillespie Rundles, 88, of Gainesville, GA gracefully departed this world on Monday March 19, 2018 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and extended family at Memorial Park on April 7th from noon until the service hour.
Born May 15, 1929 in Blairsville GA. She was the daughter of the late Jerry Colbert and Tempie Callaway Watkins. Mrs. Rundles worked as a cloth inspector at Gainesville Mill until the Mill closed. She worked several part time jobs afterwards until she retired. Mrs. Rundles was baptized and a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rundles was preceded in death by her son, James Davie Maynor; spouse Charles “Cotton” Gillespie; Daughter, Connie Maynor Tipton; grandson James Satterfield; brother Lee Watkins, sisters Frances “Fancy” Watkins Burnett, and Maudie Watkins Garrett.
Mrs. Rundles is survived by her husband of 42 years, D. Larry Rundles of Gainesville; daughters, Shirley Ann Burns of Gainesville, Linda J. Decker (Emil) of Dawsonville, Kathy F. Gibbs (Freddy) of Flowery Branch, Pat S. Clark (Frank King) of Oakwood, Brenda J. Brown (Hugh) of Brackney, PA, Jamie L. Speegle (James) of Gainesville; grandson Davie Billy Joe Maynor (Leisa) of Dalton, granddaughter Lindsey Damaris McGhee (David) of Winder; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
