Vince Wilson

Obituary Date: Thursday, March 29, 2018

Vince Wilson, age 60 of Gainesville, lost his battle to cancer on March 29, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Grace Wilson, of Dahlonega.    
He is survived by his wife Cindy Greiner Wilson, of Gainesville;  sister Jill Wilson Cain (Scott), of Dahlonega; brother Bruce Wilson (Allison), of Gainesville; sister-in-law-Diana Koss (Scott), of Southfield, MI; nieces Gracie Mae Cain,  Chelsea Wilson and Jaimmie Koss; nephews Coleman Wilson and Bryan Koss; father-in-law Tommy Greiner (Marilyn) of Blairsville; and numerous other relatives and loved ones.

Vince was a graduate of Lumpkin County High School and North Georgia College, where he played basketball for the Saints.  He was a member of Sigma Omega Fraternity.    He was employed by Hamilton State Bank. Vince was a loving husband to his wife Cindy and beloved by all of his family, friends, and coworkers.  He lived life to the fullest as they enjoyed golfing together and traveling, having fun on their many adventures.  They were always in search of the best and newest restaurants, whether it was in Calabash, North Carolina or New York City.  Vince was a tried and true Georgia Bulldog Fan, never missing a game.  He had many talents, but was known for his gift of creating beautiful custom furniture.  Vince had the most incredible sense of humor. He could be the life of the party or sitting in the corner quietly enjoying the moment. Vince was an organ donor and has provided the gift of sight to up four individuals. Vince made sure all of his friends knew that he considered his wife to be a true angel.  They are the couple that exuded love and a true partnership for life.
