Heyward Jackson Henderson, 82 of Gainesville passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Henderson was the son of the late Harold Cobb and Lottie Belle West Henderson. He served in the United States Army and was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing Company. Mr. Henderson was a member of the Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother, Hayne Henderson, Pavo, Ga.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randall and Sara Henderson, Gainesville; Ray and Janice Henderson, Gainesville; Jim and Brenda Henderson, Ball Ground, Ga.; Phil and Debra Henderson, Snellville; sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Monroe Rogers, Snellville; brother-in-law, Mike Forrester, Gainesville; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a number of other relatives also survive.
Mr. Henderson is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Helen Forrester and Martha Nelson; brother, Donald Henderson; sister-in-law, Myrtice Sloan Henderson.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 28, 2018 at the Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Lamar Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted, but those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation, 6360 Button Gwinnett Drive, Atlanta, Ga. 30340; or one's favorite charity in memory of Mr. Henderson.
