Faith Lorraine Sund

Faith Lorraine Sund, age 63, left this planet on March 26, 2018. Faye was born in Santa Ana, California on January 10, 1955 to the late Cecil “Pete” Sheriff Sund and the late Esther Lorraine Sund.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents Art Sund and Minnie Robinson Sund of Gainesville, John Sund and Emma Wold Sund of Norwood, Minnesota.

She is survived by her sisters Malinda Sund and Lisa Sund Shope of Gainesville; nephew Alexander Sund Mathis of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Faye was born with down syndrome and never let the challenges of having an extra copy of chromosome 21 stand in her way of living and loving life. Faye was a Special Olympics athlete competing in bowling and frisbee toss. She worked in several service positions and attended the Guest House Adult Day Care in Gainesville. She loved to sing, dance and never met a stranger.

Faye was a unique, witty, loving little lady who readily and joyfully hugged everyone she met. She spent her last days at Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega. May her memory be a blessing.
