Claude L. Edwards

Claude L. Edwards, age 79 of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Born in Cleveland, Georgia on March 28, 1938, he was a son of the late William Jacob and Fannie Sears Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a retired machine operator with Schnadig Corporation. He enjoyed woodworking, plumbing, working on lawn mowers and was the love of his wife’s life.

Surviving are his loving wife, Phoebe McConnell Edwards of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert & Barbara Edwards of Clarkesville; sister, Clara Lee Helton of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews, other relatives; a host of friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Thursday, March 29, 2018 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart. Interment will follow in Habersham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
