Frank Ayers

Mr. Frank Ayers, 82, of Lula, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. James Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on May 3, 1935 in Homer, Georgia he was the son of the late Levi and Alma Sims Ayers. Mr. Ayers was retired from Gold-Kist where he was a truck driver. Mr. Ayers was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ayers is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Ayers, Donald Ayers, Coy Ayers, Alvin Ayers, David Ayers; sister in law, Charlotte Ayers; brother in law, Billy Edwards.

Mr. Ayers is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vivian Ayers of Lula; sister and brother in law, Claudine and Gordon Lewallen of Lula; brother and sister in law, Doug and Brenda Ayers of Alto; brother, J.T. Ayers of Flowery Branch; sister, Leola Edwards of Lula; brother in law and sister in law, Clyde and Cathy Weaver of Alto and a number of nieces and nephews.
