Barbara Cheryl “Cherry” (Groover) Hannon

Mrs. Barbara Cheryl “Cherry” (Groover) Hannon, age 71, of Buford passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.  Rev. Steve Wood will officiate.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hannon was born April 4, 1946, the daughter of the late France C. & Hazel Barker Groover in Atlanta.  She was a member of Buford First Baptist Church and a member of the Choir.  She was a 1992 graduate of Georgia State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and retired from Northeast Georgia Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Harry Hannon of Buford; children & spouses, Terri Lynn Hannon & Jeffery Fain of Winder, John William & Rebecca Bea Nicole VanDruff Hannon of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Spencer Ryan Cape, William Zachary Thomas, Shelby Nicole Hannon, Joseph Harrison Hannon and Katherine Elizabeth Fain; and step-grandchild & spouse, Austin William & Meghan Fain.
