Fenes Mae Thomas

Obituary Date: Monday, March 19, 2018

Fenes Mae Thomas, age 82 of Dawsonville, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018. She was born December 14, 1935 in Otto, NC, and had lived in Cumming and Marietta GA. Fenes loved to bake and cook and she loved Jesus and her family. She was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Dawsonville where she made wonderful biscuits for Sunday School. Her servant attitude will be missed, but she is now in her forever home. She lived by the truth of Jesus as instructed by her favorite scripture, Mark 12: 29-31 “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Rogers and Ellis Haggard, Karen and Gary Wilson, Lisa and Keith Glover; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren;

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 21st at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Gaines and Rev. Mike Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Wednesday from 1:00 pm until hour of the service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
