Carl Michael James Pennauchi

Carl Michael James Pennauchi, age 34, of Braselton, Ga., left this life way too soon on Monday, March 12, 2018.  Carl was born in Lakewood, New Jersey on August 25, 1983 to Carl William & Patricia Hartner Pennauchi.

Carl is survived by his parents, Carl William & Patricia Hartner Pennauchi of Conway, South Carolina; his brother, Bill Pennauchi and sister-in-law, Santana LeRoy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his love, Stefanie Ruzan of Braselton, Ga.; 6 dogs, Razor, Molly, Sadie, Sofia, Chi-Chi, and Ellie; father & mother-in-law, Mike Barbes & Aneta Ardeljan of Buford, Ga.; Grandma, Mana; 4 uncles, 5 aunts & 25 cousins; and a special group of guys that are not only friends, they are family.

He was raised in Forked River, NJ., graduating Lacey Township High School in 2002. Always the athlete, he started young and continued to excel through high school and beyond.  He was also a natural chef at home, which led to him to pursue and graduate from the Academy of Culinary Arts, in Mays Landing, NJ.  He took a break from the kitchen to become a successful dog ranch manager at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, where he met the love of his life. They transferred their lives from Florida to Georgia where Carl became the Managing Partner of Quanto Basta, Cumming, Ga.

Carl should be remembered for his gigantic heart, his charismatic personality, and his love and passion for animals and dog rescue. Those who knew him knew that he gave everything he had to ensure a happy and healthy life to helpless animals who deserved a second chance. He was a blessing.
