Mr. James Willie Mack also known as “Big Dude” was born March 9, 1944 in Winder, GA to Mr. James Henry Mack and Mrs. Ozelia Mack and preceded in death by sister Mrs. Darlene Morris. Big Dude moved to Gainesville, GA at a young age where he attended Beulah Rucker Industrial School, Fair Street Elementary and graduated from E.E. Butler High School. He later attended Fort Valley University and Oral University where he received a scholarship for basketball. He also played for one of the most prestigious softball team in Gainesville, GA “The Rogals”.
Big Dude became a member at Sardies Chapel known as Rucker Memorial Baptist Church where he served in the choir. H worked faithfully and diligently for Fieldale Farms for over 50 years to his death. He leaves to mourn his hour children: Travon Mack (Kimma Mack) of Gainesville, GA, Bonita Mack of Gainesville, GA, Jolane Mack (Kenneth Mack) of Gainesville, GA, Dana Jones of Gainesville, GA; He leaves six siblings: Clarence Mack (Elaine Mack) of Gainesville, GA, Margie Watson (Charles Watson) of Gainesville, GA, Naomi Miller (George Miller) of Gainesville, GA, Louise Mack (John Millsap) of Gainesville, GA, Emma Rogers (Frank Rogers) of Baltimore, Maryland; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; special friends of the family Ms. Edith Williams, the Hatfields and a host of other relatives and friends. A Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, and a Friend. You will be deeply missed. This man loved God and His Family and He Loved to SING!!!
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Rucker Memorial Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Rucker Memorial Baptist Church between the hours of 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
