Arthur John Leach

Mr. Arthur John Leach, age 81, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, surrounded by his family.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.  Father Eric Hill will officiate.  The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A private family inurnment will be held later that afternoon at Memorial Park South Cemetery.

Mr. Leach was born August 7, 1936 to the late Anthony J. & Margaret Cavaluzzi Leach in Elmira, New York.  He was a very active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, volunteering his time at various events, including the annual picnic dinner, and participating in and acting as president of The Men’s Club. He was active in his community at Sterling on the Lake and was a member of R.O.M.E.O. Mr. Leach was also a United States Navy veteran.  A lover of golf, he was retired from the Corning Country Club in New York, where he had been the General Manager.  He loved his wife, children and grandchildren dearly.

Mr. Leach is survived by his wife, Sandra D. Leach of Flowery Branch; sons & daughters-in-law, Dean & Ann Leach of Auburn; A. John & Wendy Leach of Atlanta; Nicholas & Tammy Leach of Pinehurst, North Carolina; daughter & son-in-law, Julie & Clay Sturgill of Dacula; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Patti Painton of Virginia; sister & brother-in-law, Joy & Rich Goodstein of Santa Barbara, California; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Leach; and sisters, Marilou Liotino and Dolores Leach.
