Vera Mae Johnson Cantrell

Vera Mae Johnson Cantrell was born August 15, 1928 in Jefferson, Ga to the late Mr. Earlie Johnson and Virginia Holder Johnson. She entered in the gates of Heaven March 5, 2018.

She was proceeded to her grave by husband, Sherman Cantrell, son Bobby Cantrell, daughter Judy Cantrell and granddaughter Myrikle Alexis Cantrell, brother Thomas Johnson, and sister Mildred Hinton.

She leaves behind her cherish memories three sons, Clyde (Lucy) Cantrell, Billy (Lisa) Cantrell, and James Cantrell. Two sisters, Anniebell Pittmon (Pendergrass, Ga) and Mary Hester (Jefferson, Ga). Ten grandchildren, Candace Chambers, Joshua ( CeCe) Hunter, Vera Latrice Cantrell, Deshon Cantrell, Trevion Brown, Whitley Cantrell, Keyla Cantrell, Reggie Cantrell, Charlasha Cantrell, and Cameron Cantrell. Fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at New Salem Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Tuesday at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home between the hours of 6:00 PM - 8:00PM.
