Barbara Jean Fitzgerald Holland

Mrs. Barbara Jean Fitzgerald Holland, age 75 of 87 Saxon Place, Toccoa passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A daughter of the late Alexander B. and Minnie Sloan Fitzgerald, she was born April 15, 1942 in Hart County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County, Georgia. She was retired from Stephens County Hospital with some 20 years of service. She was a member of Safe Harbor Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Holland, two sons, Tim Holland and Hoyt Holland, III and by a daughter, Karen Holland.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Gary Carter and Teresa and Mark McCurry both of Toccoa; grandchildren, April and Josh Powell, Chris Carter, Linday Akin, Blake and Heather Holland, Haley Lee and Harley Lee; a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. at Safe Harbor Church of God with The Reverend Ralph Smith officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Blake Holland, Harley Lee, Chris Carter, Josh Powell, Charles Saylors and Dwayne Fitzgerald.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Barbara Jean Fitzgerald Holland.
