Juanita Loudermilk Davis passed away on March 10, peacefully in her sleep. She was 90 years old. Juanita, the daughter of Fred and Daisy Loudermilk, grew up in Cornelia Georgia. After graduating from high school, she attended secretarial school in Atlanta and worked for Southern Railways. She was married to Norman Davis and resided in Auburn, Alabama, where she raised her children and attended the First Presbyterian Church for over fifty years. She enjoyed working in her garden, taking walks around the neighborhood and was a long-time fan of the Atlanta Braves.
At the time of her death, Juanita was living in Tifton, Georgia with her son and daughter in law. She is survived by her children, Richard Frederick Davis of Tifton, Georgia and Beverly Davis Kelly of Senoia, Georgia, her granddaughters, Katherine Vineyard of Atlanta and Alexandra Harkins of Palmetto and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:00 pm. Juanita will be laid to rest beside her husband at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest Georgia. The family requests that, instead of flowers, donations may be sent to the Habersham County Animal Shelter at 4231B Toccoa Highway, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
