Patricia "Pat" Merkner

Patricia “Pat” Merkner, age 79, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Merkner. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Ronald “Ron” Merkner, Buford, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Dave Miller, Hoschton, GA; granddaughter, Katie Miller, Hoschton, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janice and John O’Neill, San Marcus, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. Charles and Susan Merkner, McHenry, IL; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Merkner was born November 11, 1938 in Chicago, IL. She was a 1956 graduate of Steinmetz High School in Chicago, IL and attended Wright Junior College in Chicago, IL. She was a retired teacher from Heights Christian Preschool. She was a member of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, GA. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park South Cemetery, 4121 Falcon Parkway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542, followed at 12:00 noon by a Celebration of Life Service at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 1001 Duluth Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043 with Pastor Bob Mitchell officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Lawrenceville, GA in memory of Patricia “Pat” Merkner.
