Steven David Howington

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Steven David Howington, age 69 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Thursday, March 8, 2018.  Mr. Howington was born in Commerce, Georgia a son of the late Roy Hoddie Howington and the late  Sarah Anderson Howington.  Mr. Howington was an electrician and of the Congregational Holiness Faith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Howington is preceded by a sister, Linda “Poochie” Looney and a brother, Larry Alonzo Howington.

Survivors include a son, Brandon Howington of Atlanta, daughter, Shawanna Stevens and her husband Douglas of Athens.  Sister, Betty Jo Standridge of Jefferson, and a brother, Alan Leroy Howington of Savannah.  Two grandchildren, Braxton Stevens and Keegan Stevens along with nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10 from the Cabin Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ray Finger officiating.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jonathan Gary, Greg Howington, Trandon Howington and Braxton Stevens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, March 10, 2018, noon until 1:30 P.M.
