Arter Watkins

Arter Watkins, age 84, of Cumming, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he attended the Super Seniors Group and The Seekers Sunday School Class.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Leila Watkins; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Doris Watkins; sister, Glenton Watkins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lawton and Miriam Sosebee; brothers-in-law, E. W. McConnell, Judge Frank Gramling; niece, Judy Blackburn; nephew, Toy Tallant.

Survivors include his wife, Ozell Sosebee Watkins of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca (Becky) Watkins and Forrest Martin of Cumming; grandson, Jesse and Emmie Martin of Calhoun; nephew, Robert and Bonnie Watkins of Ball Ground; great nephew, Wes and Haley Watkins; great nieces, Catherine and Lauren Watkins; sisters-in-law, Reatha McConnell and her family Janice Tallant and Hazel and Nolan Floyd, Bonnie Gramling and her family Allison and Chuck Bishop; Iola and Cecil Gramling and her family Lanier and Charlotte Gramling; and a number of other loving family members. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11^th at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Ronnie McCormick and Mr. Ben Shipley officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am until hour of the service.
