Robert E. Martin

Robert E. Martin, age 66, of Gainesville, GA passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

He was born January 3, 1952, in New Eagle, PA, a son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Stout Martin. Mr. Martin was a 1969 graduate of Monongahela High School. After graduation, he worked in the construction industry. In the 1980’s, he moved to Georgia, where he mainly worked in sales for various construction companies. He was a member of Georgia Wildlife Shooting Range. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing guitar. Mr. Martin will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are a brother, William Martin and wife, Michele, of Finleyville, PA;  two nephews, Ross Martin and wife, Cara, of Plum, and Samuel Martin of Pittsburgh; and his many friends he made over the years in Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jack Martin.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, GA.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time.

Mr. Martin will be laid to rest in the family plot in the Finleyville Cemetery.
