Jonathan Lane Goins was born July 17, 1971 and was called to service as God's special angel on February 28, 2018. He is lovingly remembered as Jonathan, Uncle John or John-John and wanted to be everyone's "buddy".
Jonathan was truly a special person. He had an amazing sense of direction and could identify the make and model of almost any car which fueled his passion for NASCAR. He loved the Carolina Panthers and grew to be UGA Dawg fan thanks to Luis. Special thanks to Mike, Kevin, Randy and Marshall for teaching him to be a "grill master".
Jonathan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Christene Prim Bowman; grandfather, John Bowman; and mother, Dale McGee. He is survived by his brother, Barry Bowman and his wife, Wendy of Trinity, NC; sister, Dawn Rivas and her husband, Luis of Cumming, GA; his sister, Tina Rodriguez of Lawrenceville, GA; and several aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and especially by Lucky Dog.
The family will hold a private Celebration of Life memorial in North Carolina March 10th. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org
Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
