Carolyn Jane Villanueva

Carolyn Jane Villanueva, age 78, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, James Gregory “Jim” Villanueva. She is survived by her children, Chris Villanueva, Gainesville, GA, Marianne Villanueva Davis, Cumming, GA, and Suzanne Michelle Brown, Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Rachel Davis, Lauren Davis, Tyler Hungerbuhler, and Jamie Hungerbuhler. Mrs. Villanueva was born August 3, 1939 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a graduate of Claymont High School in Claymont, Delaware. She was a retired sales clerk where she had worked for several department stores, including Sears, J.C. Penney and Belk’s in Lawrenceville, GA. Mrs. Villanueva was a member of St. Oliver Catholic Church in Snellville, GA for over thirty years and was a founding member. She was a resident of Brookdale Senior Living on South Lee Street for the past four years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Deacon Don Nadeau officiating. Interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Carolyn Villanueva.
