Susan Walls Shertenlieb

Mrs. Susan Walls Shertenlieb, age 71, of Dahlonega, formerly of Cumming, Ga passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018. 

Mrs. Shertenlieb was born in Cumming on January 30, 1947. She is preceded in death by her husbands, William “Bill” Munday of Cumming in 1990 and William Kelly Shertenlieb of Pinewald, NJ in 2010 as well as her father Dewey Walls of Cumming. Mrs. Shertenlieb dedicated her life to helping people with special needs. She was a loving wife and mother and always had a smile as she walked through life and tried talk to everybody she met. Mrs. Shertenlieb lived life with incredible grace.  For her, being unhappy was not an option.  

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Leigh M. and James A. Woods, Dahlonega; son Jason H. Munday, Dahlonega; mother Josephine Walls, Cumming; step children, Bill and Kelli Shertenlieb, Dahlonega; Heather and Matthew Snyders, Dawsonville; grandchildren Dalton Munday, Cumming; Serena Shertenlieb, Dahlonega; Lexi Shertenlieb, Dahlonega; and Jonathan Curl, Dawsonville.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Ga. Harold and Sandra Bolton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, Ga.
