Ms. Mary Linda Payne, 69, of Gainesville, GA was born September 26, 1948. She attended Fair Street and EE Butler High School. She departed this world on February 23, 2018, following a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents: Edgar Payne and Mary Hester Phyllis Bray Payne, and brother Fredrick Donald Payne.
Linda is survived by her sons: Edgar (Teresa) Payne, Eric Payne, and Rafael Payne. Siblings: Douglas (Beverly) Payne, Carolyn P. Jones, David Payne, Celestine (Anthony) Winters, Michael (Laverne) Payne, and Ronald Payne. Several grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
She was a member of New Gainesville SDA Church.
In honor of her wishes, there will only be a graveside service on March 1, 2018 at 11:00am, at Alta Vista Cemetery located at 521 Jones Street, Gainesville, GA 30501. The family will leave 527 Boone Street, Gainesville, GA at 10:30am, for those that wish to follow the family to the graveside service. Immediately following the service, the repast will be held at New Gainesville SDA Church located at 1813 Floyd Road, Gainesville, GA 30507.
