Willie Josephine Bennett

Miss Willie Josephine Bennett, age 96, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Maude Cash Bennett; sister, Viola Bennett; and brother, J.C. Bennett. She is survived by her sister, Bonnis Bennett, Buford, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ottis and Elease Bennett, Buford, GA; nieces, Patti Bennett, Buford, GA, and Gail Duran, Flowery Branch, GA; nephew, Steve Bennett, Flowery Branch, GA; several great nieces and great nephews; one great great-niece; and several cousins. Miss Bennett was born October 3, 1921 in Flowery Branch, GA. She was a graduate of Flowery Branch High School and was a retired seamstress from Owen Osborne Company, a hosiery mill in Gainesville, GA. She also worked for the Lovable Company and was a member of Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, where she was also the secretary and treasurer at Mt. Salem for many years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Emmett officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
