Joan Colette Makosky, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday February 25, 2018 at Northside Forsyth Hospital following a period of declining health.
Born April 12, 1937 in Morristown, NJ to the late Andrew and Kathryn Tirpak, she lived in Alpharetta over 30 years before moving to the Oaks at Hampton in 2017.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, John A. Makosky; children, Sharon and Terry Martin, Dawsonville, John D. Makosky, Sandy Springs, Diane and Dan Rennell, Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Laura and Joe Grossman, Kevin Martin, Justin Rennell, Courtney Rennell, Evan Rennell, Hannah Rennell; and a sister in law, Dorothy Makosky, Montville, NJ.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 26, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 3:30 at the funeral home.
