Gaynelle Nix Beach

Gaynelle Nix Beach, age 81 of Clermont passed away on February 22, 2018.  

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, Ga.  Dr. Levi Skipper will officiate.  Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service.  The family will receive friends Friday, February 23, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Clermont, Ga.  Gaynelle was born on November 3, 1936 to Elbert and Nellie Belle Head Nix of Clermont.   She married Floyd Beach on November 24, 1954.  Gaynelle and Floyd made their home in Clermont for most of their 63 years together. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church.  Gaynelle retired from the Georgia Poultry Laboratory in 2007 after 47 years of service.  

Gaynelle was proceeded in death by her parents, brother, Hugh Nix and brother-in-law, Mancel Oliver.    She is survived by her husband, Floyd Beach, Clermont.   Daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Russ Strickland, Gainesville.  Grandaughters, Lindsey Strickland, Fuqua-Varina, North Carolina and Heather Strickland, Gainesville.  Sister, Emogene Oliver, Clermont, Sisters and brother in laws, Linda and Larry Watkins, Cleveland and Brenda and James Miller, Gainesville.   Brothers and sister-in-laws, James and Rachel Nix, Clermont, and Harold and Brendia Nix, Gainesville.   Sister-in-law, Janice Nix, Clermont.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
