Mrs. Bonnie Smith Youngblood, age 91 of Hilltop Way, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the home of her daughter.
A daughter of the late Riley David Smith, Sr. and Essie Burgess Smith, she was born April 20, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was retired from Coats and Clark after 37 years of service and was a member of Faith Memorial Assembly of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Youngblood in 2005, by two brothers, Delano and Billy Smith and by two sisters, Kathleen Dover and Arbutus Westmoreland.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Doug Thompson of Eastanollee; grandchildren, Bryan and Hope Thompson and Kevin and Kayla Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Makenna, Garrett, Layton and Kylee; brother and sister-in-law, R.D. Smith, Jr. and wife Sandy of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Vernon Osborne of Toccoa.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 23, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Thompson, Bryan Thompson, Jerry Owenby, Marion Sisk and Ricky Smith.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Thompson, 3227 Ridgeland Road, Eastanollee and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.acree-davisfh.com.
