Mrs. Iris Sutt, age 89, of Flowery Branch passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with inurnment following at a later date in Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Shortell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sutt was born July 24, 1928 in Adrian, Michigan to the late Fred and Marion Lockwood. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Mrs. Sutt was a volunteer for the 1996 summer Olympics and she also volunteered for Flowery Branch Depot and The History Center in Gainesville.
Mrs. Sutt is survived by her daughter Diana Horne of Flowery Branch, daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Lou Zaranek of Rochester, Mi.; step-children, Scott Sutt of Savanah; Susan Wasolek of Novi, Mi., Jill Malkowski of Highland Mi., and Becky Beebe of Whitelake, Mi.; grandchildren, Bob and Julie Horne, Tom and Kim Neal, Scott Walker, Lora and Andy Jex, Stacy and Luke LaBrecque, Natalie and Bridget.
