Euphemia Stephens, nickname “Femer” but Grandma to many, 93 of Gainesville went to be with her Lord and reunited with her husband and family Tuesday February 13, 2018.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Conner and Ruby Hulsey. She graduated from the Old Murrayville School. She was the oldest member of Cool Springs Baptist Church for 80 years, baptized at the age of 13.
Euphemia was the matriarch, with her family being her life. As a nurturing person, she loved her children and grandchildren, they were always around. She always took good care of them and fed them. She was a great cook, known as the coconut cake lady. She also enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Gibson; grandchildren, Michelle Davidson, Kevin Stephens, Tyler Stephens; great grandchildren, Josh, Kale, David, Mason, Trevor, Chastity and Seth; great-great grandchildren, Landon, Lane, Asher, August, and Waylon; siblings, Olene Stevens and Willie Talmadge Hulsey.
Mrs. Stephens is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton Stephens; son, David Stephens; siblings, Montree Stephens, Alene Abercrombie, John Ed Hulsey, Imogean Veal; son-in-law, Wayne Gibson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday February 16, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Grant, Rev. Ricky Stone, and Rev. Phillip Gillespie will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, February 16, 2018 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
