Mr. Howard Joseph Hornick, age 76 of 506 Rothell Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Pruitt Health Toccoa.
A son of the late William P. and Mary G. Fousek Hornick, he was born August 1, 1941 in Fair Play, South Carolina, having lived most of his life in Toccoa. He was employed with Wright Manufacturing for 30 years and later retired from Standard Register. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Garland Hornick in 2011.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kristi Hornick and Keith Hornick both of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Shyanne and Dakota; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Rilla Hornick of Martin; many other relatives.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 15, 2018, 3 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Deacon Greg Ollick officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, David Hornick, Benji Hornick, Gregg Garland, Dennis Hornick, Kenny Hill and Jim Banks.
The family will be at the home on Rothell Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the service time. Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
