Kenneth "Ken" B. Thompson, age 90, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Ann Beard Thompson, Sugar Hill, GA; children, Brian and Susan Thompson, Newburgh, IN, Becky and Randy Knoche, Colorado Springs, CO, William "Bill" Thompson, Houston, TX, Margaret Seibert, Buford, GA, and Lynne Seibert, Duluth, GA; fourteen grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Paul, Houston, TX, and Ellen Thompson, Denver, CO; and several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Thompson was born February 4, 1928 in McAllen, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of El Campo High School in El Campo, TX and attended Wharton Jr. College and the University of Texas, graduating with a Bachelor's degree. Mr. Thompson was a retired service manager from the I.B.M. Corporation.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be a reception following the service in the Magnolia Room at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Kidney Foundation, 72 Edgewood Ave. N.E., Atlanta, GA 30303 in memory of Ken Thompson.
