Mr. Alford Harold Heaton, age 80 of 97 Brady Street, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his residence.
A son of the late Cohen and Loudelia Ivester Heaton, he was born December 29, 1937 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was a retired Truck Driver and Owned and Operated Heaton’s Used Car Sales. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Heaton and Jerry Heaton.
Survivors include his companion of the home, Carolyn Ivester Bobbitt; two daughters, Tamatha Heaton and Tim Shields of Gaffney, South Carolina and Debra Duncan of Anderson, South Carolina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Michelle Heaton of Anderson, South Carolina and Stewart and Megan Brooks of Dallas, Georgia; children of his companion, Pamela and Barry Carter of Toccoa and Keith and Dawn Bobbitt of Lavonia; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Heaton of Lavonia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby Crooks, Barbara and William Gunn and Linda and Ed Hicks all of Toccoa.
Memorial service will be Saturday, February10, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Linwood Cannon officiating.
