Albert Elijah London

Albert Elijah London, age 91 of Demorest, passed away February 4, 2018.

Born in White County, Georgia on March 26, 1926, Mr. London was the son of the late Elisha and Ethel Edwards London.  He was a member of Amy’s Creek Baptist Church and he had worked for Habersham Mill and Habersham Hardware.  Mr. London was a United States Army World War II veteran.  In addition to his parents, Mr. London is preceded in death by his wife Fannie Smith London.

Survivors include daughter Wanda Shirrell Whiting of Demorest, son and daughter in law Swayne and Cynthia London of Lavonia, brothers Crawford London of Clarkesville, Bud London of Cleveland, and Lamar London of Cleveland, sister Lorene Hill of Alabama, grandchildren Wanda Meeks, David Whiting, Joyelle Metz, Lisa London, and Matthew London, as well as 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Albert’s request was that funeral services be private and instead of sending flowers to go out and eat something good.
