Doris Hamilton Wade

Doris Hamilton Wade, age 92, of Buford, GA and the Rest Haven Community passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, L. C. Wade; parents, Clarence and Maude Puckett Hamilton; brother, Dilmus Hamilton; and son-in-law, J. W. Montgomery. She is survived by her children, Gail Montgomery, Buford, GA; Gloria and Kenneth Waycaster, Buford, GA, Rev. Grant and Maxine Wade, Jasper, GA, and Gentry and Judy Wade, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Myles and Amy Montgomery, Cumming, GA, Monica and Kenny Jacobs, Buford, GA, Courtney Waycaster Crowe, Buford, GA, Nathan Wade, Jasper, GA, Nolan and Jessica Wade, Jasper, GA, Logan and Tiffany Wade, Bethlehem, GA, Leslie Wade and fiancé, Chris Shapiro, Buford, GA; great grandchildren, Eliza Grace Montgomery and Lane Margaret Montgomery, Cumming, GA, Caroline Crowe and Carson Crowe, Buford, GA, Lilah Wade, Jasper, GA, Paige Wade and Payton Wade, Bethlehem, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Wade was born September 23, 1925 in Buford, GA. She attended Sugar Hill School in Sugar Hill, GA and was a homemaker. She was the co-owner of Wade’s Farm House & BBQ and she worked for Donald Stewart, CC Saddlery Company, Gloria’s Beauty Salon, Dee’s Country Cabin and also worked for The Lovable Company in Buford. She was a long-time member of Harmony Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Farrell Presley, Rev. Bryan Satterfield and Rev. Grant Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
